RICHARD A. ACREE
Richard Acree is the Founder and President of HABITEC Home and Building Inspections, LLC.
Richard has significant education in the disciplines of engineering, building inspections and business management. He graduated from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering that included a concentration in Structural Engineering. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Masters of Science degree in Business Administration. He has successfully completed training at Kaplan/Inspector Training Associates (ITA) which offers the only Home Inspection curriculum endorsed by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Richard has also successfully completed the National Home Inspection Exam. Additionally, Richard completed training for certification as a Radon Measurement Provider (Certification # 104135 RT). Certification is provided through the National Radon Proficiency Program administered by the National Environmental Health Association. Also, Richard has completed training as a mold assessment technician through the Kaplan/ITA Mold Assessment Course, and is certifed as a Certified Mold Assessor with the Environmental Solutions Association.
In addition to his experience as a home and building inspector, Richard's experience includes home construction, renovation and maintenance. His engineering experience includes project design, plans and specification reviews, and marketing management.
As a Home Inspector Richard has completed inspections on homes ranging in age from new to over 100 years old and ranging in size from 1200 square feet to 9000 square feet.
In Commercial Building Inspections Richard has been the Inspector of Record for projects involving Industrial Distribution Centers, Warehouses, Churches, Office Buildings, Retail Centers, and Apartments.
